The Butler Museum, located on upper Main Street, is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
We are closed on holiday weekends. If you or your group wishes to arrange for a special visit,
please call us at 973-838-7222 and leave a message. We will return your call as promptly as possible.
Admission to the museum is free. We request that young children be accompanied by an adult.
Please observe our no smoking and no food rules.

Museum Accessibility: There are 10 regular and two handicapped spaces in the museum parking
lot. The museum may be accessed by either of two entrances, each of which has a wheelchair
ramp and railing. There are two restrooms, one on each side of the museum. One is easily
accessible for wheelchair visitors.
There is a set of stairs between the resource room (the freight station side) and the museum
exhibit rooms which denies wheelchair visitors from moving from one side of the museum to the
other while remaining indoors. Our wheelchair visitors, however, can access the entire facility
by using both entrances.
