The Butler Train Station - 1907
Now the site of the Butler Museum, this little train station once was a hustling hub of activity.
The Borough of Butler and the volunteers who maintain the Butler Museum welcome you to the Butler Museum Online. The museum is moving, somewhat hesitantly, into the 21st Century.

It is wondrous thing to wander from room to room in the old railroad station and touch, see, and smell the history. Because many of you cannot visit us personally, it is with great pleasure that we came bring the sights of the museum to you.

This is the inauguration of the museum online. As the weeks continue, we will introduce you to more information about our collections, photos, news articles, and events. You may also wish to submit relevant articles or information that would enhance this site. If you have visited the museum and believe a certain exhibit or collection would be of interest to the website visitors, please contact us and we will add the point of interest.

As you explore the various areas of Butler Museum Online, please keep in mind that this is a work in progress. We may never finish adding to this site but that means that we are always finding new things to include and new ways to preserve and present the history of the Borough of Butler in Northern New Jersey.
